Months after that incident I rode with a friend whose parents never let her ride the subway (the 6 if I remember), and when it hit that sharp turn after it pulled out of Grand Central she went into hysterics. When I arrived to work, I made my coffee and turned on the radio to listen to 1010 WINS news radio and heard that a Southbound has just derailed at the 14 ST and UNION SQ Station. I was shocked to realise that I was going to wait for the next train at 125 ST. Thank You..Lord..too bad for those who were killed and hurt on 8/28/91.
