Vila Itororó

A 1920's settlement which had 37 houses,a pool and a patio. There are families living there today but it looks abandoned. It's a "good" example of urban decay in São Paulo. It's a difficult situation for both sides. This article has been viewed 1018 times in the last 13 months Rodolfo Blancato: 4th Sep 2009 - 12:59 GMTI live in São Paulo and I'm making a video about the situation of Vila Itororó. I think is bullshit claim that the situation is "difficult for both sides". Brazilian law says that anyone living more than five years in a abandoned building has the property of the place. The city government is acting ilegally and immorally expulsing these people from their homes. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
