A CityNoise, we have developed an affinity for neglect places and things.

Which makes the high line a little annoying. (Read more here: www.thehighline.org/about/faq

Its the talk of NYC this week. There are even limits on the amount of people that can go on it at one time
But its not really that crowded--least not at 9AM on a cloudy Sunday morning!

image 33766
Its not urban decay, its not neglected. And not, its certainly not urbex--not urbex lite even!

But for those who cast dispersions at this:

image 33763
Its a park for goodness sakes--albeit a post-industrial take on the concept of constructed nature.

image 33764
Greensward (Central Park) it ain't--nor is it an abandoned train line. its a park, and a park is for all! (though it may eventually sell many pricey items!)

image 33768
And most important, kids love it!

nice shots... im sorry to see it renovated into the sort of place that "may eventually sell many pricey items", but im glad its still there and being used by the public.

im just glad i got to see it in its previous state :)

Man, that sounds like an expensive place to put a public park. I am glad we don't have anything like that in Chicago, or else Mayor Daley would put another bean up there. Wait a minute, we do have something like that, millennium park IS elevated,.. ugh.
