Little Yella

In contrast to this post, here are some pics of my much-loved first and only car, a , three-door, two-seater. Various nicknames included the Buzzbox and the Lunchbox.

I had my little yella fella for about eight years until some swine knocked off the side mirror, spat on it and threw a rock through the back window so I couldn't afford to get it fixed anymore.

I had a friend who had a maroon coloured version and, for a lark, we tested each others' keys in the doors and ignition. We found out that we could unlock and start each others' car with our own key.

^ Pre-graffiti. I made and installed the curtains myself.

^ A stencil I sprayed on the bonnet.

image 33619
^ Faded stencil on the drivers' side door, referenced from a photo of myself and a photocopy of my hand.

^ Where my drivers' side mirror used to be. As you can see, I was not happy when I found it lying a few metres down the road.

^ After the old seat covers started to decay, I decided it would be cheaper to just use some old t-shirts as seat covers.

Suffice to say, I never lost my car or got it mixed up with another in a parking lot. :D

hahaha, nice. i like the art aspect of it, too.

curiously, i had a similar experience with the door/ignition keys on an old squareback once... hmm, must be more common than people think :-0
