The Ride of Silence is a slow-paced (12 mph or less) silent bike ride through the city to honor those who have been killed in bike-related accidents in the past year. Luckily in Philly we only had one fatality to mourn (6 others in South Jersey). The goal is to raise awareness about bike safety and to educate motorists, so that eventually cities won't have to host these rides.

be on your best cycling etiquette around the public.
