Jamaica El Being Torn Down

Here are some photos I took back in the late 1980s of the demolition of the stations at the end of the line. There were 5 stations in all. The new terminus for the line was the nue extension. I remember riding out to the Archer extension when it opened and you could see these abandon stations as the train turned, cut off from the rest of the line. These photos show the station and the Blvd Station. I think at that point the rest of it was already torn down.

wow, now THIS is an instant favorite. im so glad you took photos of this... and shared them with us today. i dig it. just this weekend, i was out in , looking at where the line was cut off. similarly, in my neighborhood at the j/m station, theyre installing new track segments on the elevated, a second level up as if they were gonna be layups for the rush-hour trains or something. know anything about that?

SageO..DM..~~: wow..incrediable ..

Natrel Rink at Harbourfront. The zamboni is very loud and evidently quite old. Salt and sand trucks reloading before heading back to the DVP.
