germany 1964, my battalion was the first battalion to be trained as LRRP's, (long range recon patrol), our mission was to be dropped behind enemy lines and infiltrate the enemies defense area, radio back to command and await orders while camoflaged as a bush in thick bushes in the middle of enemy soldiers, and once they radio back to me my orders i either had to just excape or blow up the rockets or munitions. after this training we were developed into the first ranger battalion and then airborne. the training was rigorous and hard. the drill instructors were old rangers from WWII. eventually they developed the delta forces from our ranks. i can sneak up on you, anywhere in the world, come within inches of you and you would not know i was there and then cut your throat without the guy standing 10 feet from you know whats happening. the only problem is that i could not use that on my resume when i came home looking for a job.
