Mid Atlantic States - Ports and Shipping Facilities
Browsing articles in Mid Atlantic States - [previous] :: [next]From a collection of 'Picture Story Cards' put out by the Singer corporation's 'Society for Visual Education' division in 1966. Owing to the size of these I had to tkae them outside to photograph them so excuse the bits of reflectivity. This third of three sets that I own is titled 'Mid Atlantic States - Ports and Shipping Facilities'. Card one: A Trans-Atlantic Passenger Liner Port
Card two: Oil Tanker Port
Card three: An Iron Ore Port
Card four: A General Cargo Port
Card five: Container Shipping
Card six: A Dry Docks Port

As part of the agreement to build the World Trade Center New Jersey was given the nod to build metro New York's container port. Peter: 4th May 2009 - 00:23 GMTyeah, ive been all in their bay ridge yard, where the barge-float is. its neat down there.
