aww yeah! this is the stuff! man, except for the fact that none of the graf looks familiar, this could just as easily be somewhere near me in brooklyn... i dig! so how did you find yourself in this spot? just exploring? if yall have places like this laying around, by all means, lets see some more ;)

These are truly amazing photos. Some would make interesting greeting cards

Do most of these sites just for "art" or other purposes of the graffiti? This guy called Isaiah Zagar has put mosaics on numerous buildings all throughout downtown Philadelphia. His work has become a signal of pride and tourist attraction for the city. "In A Dream", the film about his work, is actually playing at Webster University the weekend of May 15th.

Where did you get this name "Babcock & Wilcox" from? I've only seen this building referred to as "Geo. W. Reed".

EvilGentleman: 13th Jun 2009 - 21:25 GMT

I stubled onto the name on another blog site, I forget if it was flickr or spacingmontreal or another one. Subsequent investigation had clinched it for me. Oddly enough, I cannot find any of my original search results now, although I know they must be buried in the thousands of shortcuts I have in my various browsers.

May I ask, where did George W Reed come from? The only one I could find was some religious guy from the states.

I posted some of these on the other article "Graffiti Factory: Behind the Babcock & Wilcox Boiler Plant" but after I found this thread I thought these belong here as they are from inside the plant.

The Commodore's Slipcover

The Commodore Hotel was built in the early 1920s as part of the 'Terminal City' project centered around Grand Central Terminal. No great shakes as a work of architecture but it had a killer location and lived a long life...
