Happy Little Moron: Hey, I'm from Canarsie!

Griphus: 22nd Apr 2009 - 03:14 GMT

I was just walking by the one in my neighborhood today and it still weirds me out to see the place not opaque with smoke.

Bonanno: 22nd Apr 2009 - 04:27 GMT

Nice shot, blinds and all.

My old man used to go to that OTB. I'm surprised that it's still open.

The neighborhood used to be heavily Italian, and Lord knows the Italians love to bet the horses. I figured now that Canarsie is all Jamaican, the OTB would move elsewhere. I don't really go back there much anymore.

Hey Peter,

Could you please tell me how do I insert a link like yours i.e. with custom text, it's useful for long URLs?

Thnx!

Editor: 22nd Apr 2009 - 12:57 GMT

There are a few tips here: citynoise.org/about.php#faq11

Thank you editor.

Well, I see those only work with two specific sites. (Some days ago I included a maps.live.com link and it streatched the whole thing which wasn't nice, I suppose using tinyurl/snipurl is hwat I should do.)

Amy: Nice find - beautiful colors and lines!

Wiseacre: 22nd Apr 2009 - 23:06 GMT

It's so glamourous. Like a casino in Monte Carlo.
