Car Accident: BQE and Broadway

There was a nasty car accident on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway where it cuts through the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The wreck was really bad, but I was fascinated by the scene... usually highway wrecks like this don't happen right in the middle of the city. The expressway is down below so it was set up for people to easily walk up and stare at it from above and from all sides. I started shooting the interesting mix of people (that all seemed to be from the nearby Dominican and Jewish neighborhoods in the Southside of Williamsburg).

Gee whiz, how often can you get that many NY'ers together, let alone get them not mind you taking a photo of them--well composed photos at that! I gotta salute that, and welcome you to CityNoise.

You have probably noted the fact that this is a good place to get your photos seen--we are currently in Google's top 100,000, currently at 78,807--so I hope you keep posting here!

What do you shoot with BTW?

i am so pleased that in these digital days that there are so many people here that shoot on real film. I do, as well--just don't have the skills yet to develop my own Tri-X. Love that grain!

The Garden of Earthly Delights

I spotted this on a boarded up house near Coral & Hagert in East Kensington. There's some imagery here from Bosch's famous painting, as well as an excerpt from the poetical works of John Milton. So random - absolutely love...
