i spent my early years on putnam ave off bushwick ave.i loved that area even the small apt we had.my parents left in the rush, for a long time i never accepted or understood why.i have been back a number of times and some has changed. alot has not.it may be wrong for me to say this but if i had been older i would have been the one walking house to house telling people to stay.that area was my home in a lot of moves since then i have never felt better anywhere else.i can't say bad about anyone trying to better their life all i can say is that white people like me should look at the kind of person moving in not their color or country.at that time i guess the wrong people were coming and nobody took a stand they just ran
