Stainless Steel Obelisk Fountain, Agabiti Plaza - Roebling and Whittaker Ave - Trenton,New Jersey

Agabiti Plaza is in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, NJ. This lovely park is in the middle of a historic part of the city that allows the neighborhood residents to enjoy a lovely place to relax and play in a visually hi tech yet charming atmosphere. I stumbled upon it by mistake and was delighted with how wonderful it was to look at. I found out that this park was renovated in 2003 and the designers motivation was to connect the old with the new. The symbolism lies in the use of the stainless steel which reflects the 19th century industrial history of the (Roebling wire rope works),the socioeconomic changes that Trenton endured in the 20th century and the 21st century vision to revive the past by using materials from the areas industrial hay day. I fell in love with this park and found myself there for a few hours after taking these photos.

Steel Lounging

The stainless steel furnishings in this park are truly functional, comfortable and unique pieces of art. In this picture above you will see two types of urban sleek seating and a medium size round table with a cool lighting accent. Before taking this picture there was the cutest little girl who got off her bike to sing as if the light was a microphone. If one of her parents were around I would have asked to capture that moment for it was the greatest example of how children use there imagination to make the best out of what is in front of them.

Picnic in the Park

In my opinion this is a great artistic take on a picnic table. Notice the curved seating that allows many people to have a seat but one would still have room to sit by themselves if need be. This was designed wonderfully.

New Age Park Bench

Don't let the stainless steel fool you - I sat here and chilled for awhile and it was very comfortable.
