I really like the second shot. It looks as if the barge dock is just....waiting.

CartLegger: 26th Mar 2009 - 02:02 GMT

#4 does it for me. I did not have the balance or gumption to make it to the end of the gantry, so I could not get this particular angle. nicely done!

also: something about this site was very pensive, and doubly as prescient. i know this post seems like a heap of sort of boring photos, but i really felt the urge to just represent this place candidly so that i can accurately remember how it looked, because before too long, its going to change drastically and look so different that no one will even remember all of this.

cartlegger, what was that you were telling me about the budweiser distributor or whatever this place is:

did you happen to get any photos of the front of it? my eyes were on the security dude, and i forgot to snap one...

Mike: Wow that first picture rocks!

elaine: urban wilderness is a favourite look of mine.

FDNY: 1st Apr 2009 - 01:48 GMT

The budweiser plant is about to be torn down. If you'd like to know what this little piece of landscape will be, google "Hunters Point South"... a 13-building high-rise condo project with low to median-income housing, a school, and retail space.

Hogwarts?

On a recent business trip to London one of my colleagues was on the look out for pictures of gothic buildings or castles for his small children. He had told them he was going to Hogwarts. (sorry for the poor...
