This is the abandoned rail line leading up and into Sunnyside Yard in Sunnyside, Queens

Despite the huge volume of Long Island Rail Road and New York City Subway traffic that
passes through this rail-yard on an almost minute-by-minute basis, this particular spur seems to
have gone unused for quite a long time

Weeds quietly grow on the elevated rail-bed while commuter trains slither in and out of the yard below

The outbound LIRR tunnels

Good thing the security cameras are so focused on the tracks that they can't see you pass behind them

The Queensboro Bridge lies just to the west of the Sunnyside Yard

And just to the southwest is 5 Pointz
