Whenever I see notices like this (and I do more often than I feel I should do) I wonder about the mindset of the creator and what they were actually hoping to achieve by sticking it up.

My response would be to tell this person to either stop letting their dog poo on their steps and carpet, or in the case it was someone else's dog, to be more careful about where they step before walking on their steps and carpet. This is definitely one of those cases where they could have simply said "clean up after your dog, please" but instead, we get a guilt-trip and images of nauseatingly soiled surfaces. LOL.
