Googlemaps tells me that this Hess gas station is at 504 W 44th St, New York, NY.
As a matter of fact, the street-view in that link is practically the same shot I posted above;
seems to be a popular spot for taxi cabs to hang out.

Heh, I can see it now. Driver #1 steps out of vehicle, swaggers over to first bowser, places hand on pump handle.
Driver #2, seeing this, accepts challenge, steps out of his vehicle, walks to second bowser, does likewise.
