Thanks to Peter for getting my incredulous ass up there.

It ain't the industry or grafs that captures my eye, but the resilient nature!

Neat shot. What sort of berries are they?
I like the eagle in the background.

pierre: that's probably a flying new york rat (pidgeon)

CartLegger: 11th Feb 2009 - 11:20 GMT

I call 'em pigeon hawks, but only when they fly majestically.

CartLegger: they are train berries!

Peter: 11th Feb 2009 - 15:24 GMT

referring to as "flying rats" is a most cliche nyc-ism, and one im sick of hearing every single time pigeons pop up in conversation. its like one of those things that people say out of habit for some reason. how are pigeons related to rats? because they live on the streets and shit? guess what, people do too, and id be more concerned about what diseases the humans around me were carrying, as opposed to those of a perpetually-maligned benign little bird that is actually more closely related to the ... and i dont see anyone dissing eagles.

i asked this pigeon what he felt about it

but he only cooed pensively.

GGP: 12th Feb 2009 - 04:09 GMT

whoa, Peter, I love you for standing up for pigeons. And I love both pictures here—the berries and the Great Dove of Urbanity.
