Its like they say, you can't judge a book by its cover!

i was out hunting for graf. i didnt even notice this place (i hadnt rounded the corner where the sign was yet) until i heard a chicken's death-squawk on the other side of a wall-vent...

jack: please no chicken jokes

CartLegger: 3rd Feb 2009 - 03:42 GMT

I am always wondering if it wouldn't be better for eaters of chicken--like myself--to buy our meet form viveros. I mean, at least you know where it comes from. you get beyond the plausible deniability of a plastic wrapped carcass.

Ah, it reminds me of my favorite poem from high school!

Grace to Be Said at the Supermarket

This God of ours, the Great Geometer,
Does something for us here, where He hath put
(if you want to put it that way) things in shape,
Compressing the little lambs into orderly cubes,
Making the roast a decent cylinder,
Fairing the tin ellipsoid of a ham,
Getting the luncheon meat anonymous
In squares and oblongs with all the edges bevelled
Or rounded (streamlined, maybe, for greater speed).

Praise Him, He hath conferred aesthetic distance
Upon our appetites, and on the bloody
Mess of our birthright, our unseemly need,
Imposed significant form. Through Him the brutes
Enter the pure Euclidean kingdom of number,
Free of their bulging and blood-swollen lives
They come to us holy, in cellophane
Transparencies, in the mystical body,
That we may look unflinchingly on death
As the greatest good, like a philosopher should.

thats a very good point. ive always been a believer of the fact that the world should operate under full-disclosure; one can make the best decision for themselves only when they completely know whats up!

Big Cows on Campus

These guys hang out at the St. Paul campus. Now you know why it's called the cow college. Since they are located out in front of this building (Bio AgEng is what we call it) you wonder...
