yes, this is the redone one. the old one looked like this:

apparently, in addition to being a drug dealer and armed robber (query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C0CEFDB1E3EF93BA15754C0A966958260), ben also used a child as a human-shield in a shootout (www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-2365594.html) and biggie smalls had a hit out on him at one point (books.google.com/books?id=IIpWyv-IQMkC&pg=PA115&lpg=PA115&dq=%22killer+ben%22&source=web&ots=69ypoBXZ8Z&sig=ga6ca-4FrkAcWuWjq8V9YPX_gzY))

Lived in Fort Greene Brooklyn for 20 years and was flat in the middle of the gang wars that took the life of Killer Ben. Let's not forget the lives lost by his hand or a stray bullet.
Why a muriel would be made for him is totally unreal. His family will always love him, they are of course family. However, I do agree with FG, it's more about his life in the hood, the same hood that took his life. Trying to survive and make money...that's what it all comes down too. Living in the hood is a rough and tough place to grow up, like they often say sometimes you are a product of your enviroment. Thank God, I didn't allow this enviroment to make or break me or the child I had to raise.
