I love the Brooklyn waterfront. Vol Vul Vuh: 20th Oct 2008 - 15:00 GMTNice shots. I really like the lighting and how the contrast of the building looks against the sky. I was happy to see these shots too because I accidentally deleted all of mine yesterday! Peter: 20th Oct 2008 - 15:06 GMToh yeah! nice, man! i totally forgot to check this out yesterday... ill def add it to my quickly-growing list of "places to visit via bike before winter comes". nice golden-hour shots, too... ahh yes, gotta love the brooklyn waterfront...
procyon: 26th Oct 2008 - 00:41 GMTgorgeous. especially the last two. what is the plan for it exactly? the drawing on the left looks like people relaxing in grass next to the existing structure, but the one on the right looks like a Forever 21 or something. Franny Wentzel: 24th Oct 2011 - 18:31 GMTRecovered article Magic Hour At Domino's CartLegger - Sunday, October 19th, 2008
Was very happy to make it down to the Domino Factory ( a la the New Domino) today, open to the public after a century at being an inscrutable piece of the city's Industrial landscape.
This event--organized with the support of officials of Refinery, LLC, the developer of the Domino Sugar site--seemed a success. Though I will add that if you are not allowed to bring in a bike, they better dang well get some bike racks.
Oh, the rush of new places. Not lucky enough to have been able to sneak in earlier, the rush of a new NYC place is something to savor.
And it makes me even happier
It was great to see the Open Space Alliance in attendance, even if that just meant finding their great map at an empty table (needs a map link, yo!).
It made me want more!!! More openness, more westerly facing factory walls to capture the sunset! More NYC to see.
