They should have built a precinct there years ago. My grandmother lived on Troutman between Knickerbocker and Irving during the 70's and 80's.
Talk about drug infested. It wasn't until they put up make shift precincts (using trailers) that the crime went away.
All that place does is bring back bad memories, junkies, crack and shootings.

its pretty telling that the 83rd precinct is just blocks away, but residents still feel like they need another. i suppose it would beat having the makeshift trailer cop stations up and down troutman again...
