My most profound memory of the Woolworth Building was being on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade late on the night of 9-12-01 and seeing the entire top third of the Woolworth Building completely obscured by the massive plume of smoke emanating from the ruins of the (also once the world's tallest) WTC and heading at that particular moment toward north Brooklyn and Queens.
