Im a pagan myself but u realy have to commend this man and his efforts to show this much deadication towards his god is something we should all aspire to.. although for me its gods rather than a god but all the same what he is doing should never be pulled down it should be enjoyed by the masses that follow the same god as himself as that is how every other church and cathedral ws built apart from their followers were touctered into goin there... if i had the money i would send him some to help the man on his way...
why arent there more people in the world like him reguarless of religian..

this man is "just" amazing, but is also amazing that he doesn't have any support or help from the local or national authorities, I'm from Madrid and i have never heard about him and that is sad. Now that i know I'm going to help him ...

I am Spanish, and Justo Gallego is just the kind of person that makes me feel proud of my country and ashamed at the same time. I find incredible that nobody is helping this man, that nobody is suporting his amazing work and dream. I hope he will live for many many years in order to finish his cathedral and give the world an example of what it means to believe in a dream and never let it go. .....no creo que exista una palabra en el diccionario alangandolo.... q ue no le hayan dicho, yo por mi parte me quito el sonbrero ante esta sombrosa obra que está realizando. Sé perfectamente el trabajo q le ha supesto, las horas q ha metido, al sol, con nieve y mucho frio....lo digo porque yo tambien estoy terminado la casa en la q ya estoy viviendo y tardé seis años en poder hacerlo. Aproximadamente el 90% de los materiales q empleé fueron del reciclaje, vigas, ladrillos, tablas, etc....usted D. Justo ya me entiende....espero q esto sirva para q otras personas q tienen un sueño, lo realice, que no se queden sin saber si habria podido hacerlo..........un cariñoso saludo y esperamos todos ver acabada sus maravillosa obra.
P.D.: soy una persona con una minusvalía en brazo y pierna derecha.

la pasta de la dichosa catedral deberia haberla empleado en hacer casas a quienes no las tienen, y el apoyo institucional no deberian darselo a cualquier "iluminado" que decide montar una catedral.... que pasa si a cada españolito se le ocurre mañana hacer una de estas, las autoridades nos deberian ayudar a todos a montar nuestras catedrales.....menudo disparate....la pasta del contribuyente deberia ser administrada de una forma mas coherente....tengo 31 años y acabo de comprar mi primera casa, que por cierto me ha costado un ojo de la cara gracais a la especulacion y a la falta de vivienda protegida promocionaada por las autoridades que quereis que ayuden a este hombre... me parece que es una persona admirable, pero no creo que el dinero de los contribuyentes se deba usar para financiar este tipo de proyectos...

Simplemente impresionante, lloro de emocion. La catedral esta siendo construida SIN PLANOS, solo con la inspiracion e intuicion, y Justo no es arquitecto, es un labrador de 80 años. Simplemente es maravilloso, increible, esperanzador.

Es imposible que a cada españolito se le ocurra hacerse una catedral y que se lo patrocinen distintos organismos pues:
1) no todos somos considerados,como ha sido Justo Gallego, uno de los artistas mas importantes del mundo (según por ejemplo el famoso Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Nueva York);
2) no todos disponemos de terreno suficiente en propiedad y otros terrenos mas para venderlos y poder pagarse así mismo los costos;
3) no todos tenemos esa Voluntad y esa Fe para emprender tal obra de tal magnitud...

Sería bonito organizar una reunión en masa, un "pásalo" de movil a movil, un dia, con fecha y hora y organizar una escursión de apoyo y ánimo a Don Justo... serían dos días de aca,pada en los aldededores, dos días en los cuales ayudaríamos a Justo en lo que precisara. No dejemos que el mundo se olvide de este hombre y su obra, invitemos a medios de comunicación para que sean testigos de las pasiones que Justo provoca y sería tambien maravilloso repetirlo cada año, sumando más y más adeptos a la vez... "El Festival de Don Justo" jejeje. Puede parecer una utopía pero si lo pensaís bien es más que factible, y el día que muera Justo, seremos cientos de miles las personas que intentarán evitar el derrumbe no de un edificio, sino la desaparición materializada de un sueño, de la libertad, la esperanza y el amor!! It is impossible, you do not believe it, it is a wonder. That tiny man build the cathedral al alone, without any help. And no plans on paper, no structural drawings. I admire this monk wich I met in 2001, wish him succes. It is a pity that he cannot complete his work but I hope the Spanish government shall subsidize the project because it is a great object of art that can be compared with facteur Cheval's palace in Hauterives France and Sam Rodia's towers in the USA. Television Espanola and Carlos Luis on this website say Justo Gallego's work has had recognition from the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York. Is this true? I've done a search on the MOMA's website and can find no reference to him.

Television Espanola y Carlos Luis en esta pagina web dicen que la obra de Justo Gallego ha conseguido el reconocimiento del Museo de Arte Contemporaneo (MOMA) de Nueva York. Es verdad? He hecho una busqueda en la pagina web de la MOMA y no encuentro ninguna referencia a el.

I am impressed that he can build so much without construction expirience. Then again I watch untrained framers build structures everyday. He needs to learn how to finish one thing before going on to the next.

hoy he estado en la catedral y he visto como entre angel, "winsor" y justo han realizado la parez circular de la torre del homenaje dentro de la sacristia...... todo echo este viernes y que yo he dejado inmortalizado en el dvd nº 5 de la historia justo....mañana a las 9 horas le entregaré una vicicleta nueva para sustituir la que manejaba y que le ha dejado tirado muchas veces... feliz navidad a todos...

se han realizado en este ultimo año 2008 las vidrieras principales y otras secundarias artesanalmente de la siguiente forma se han machacado cristales de varios colores con un martillo, se han pasado por unos coladores de diferentes gruesos y el resultado es una cantidad de colores y granos más o menos finos que después se pegan con pegamento de cristal transparente sobre un cristal transparente por un lado y una vez seco se pone otro en la parte superior haciendo un sanwich de cristal
la luz atraviesa este sanwich de luz y formas queda muy lindo muy bello
precioso......
