It was only a matter of time before someone posted photos of Olafur Eliasson’s waterfalls, so why not me? I spent the first two afternoons of my teacherly summer visiting every one, so here are some images from my ride!

your correct, i was waiting for shots of the falls, i figured it was gonna be peter since he was the closest. so you took a boat ride around manhattan on the circle line, did you buy the daily news and the new york times when you were in a new york state of mind, the falls look great, brooklyn looks great, thanks.

nice flicks, particularly the 2nd one! i finally saw the brooklyn bridge one last night and was decidedly underwhelmed.

Surely you jest Jack. I am closer than Peter (less inland at least) and I biked it! Boats make it too easy! On a boat, you can't play in the spray at Furman street--which I highly suggest! Anyway, I hope you make it into the city to see them. they are quite sight. And you could take at least a ferry across the Hudson...

these are cool. thanks for cycling around to the 'kodak moment' spots. the 4th one works for me. those falls apprear to be coming out of that building in the distance. nice . . .

Laura: 3rd Jul 2008 - 15:30 GMT

I love the last one. The building in the foreground goes with the falls' structures. They are funny looking, though! I will have to go check them out.

CartLegger: 3rd Jul 2008 - 16:38 GMT

Thanks people! you should see them all! I might add thought that the last one--on furman street--is mighty fun to play in. Its like a cool summer shower in the sun. Great place to check out the fireworks from as well!

when i got back into town this past weekend, the sight of the (agreeably underwhelming) waterfall greeted me, so that was my first chance to see them... glad to find your photos, man... nice! time to jump on the bike and check them out up close, for sure...
