Trolley Tracks

I think there's something really poetic in the way tracks interact throughout the city. Intersections where two lines cross create great steel curves and shapes, like unintended works of art. While there's lots of tracks in that are no longer frequented by their trolleys, the ones in these pictures (taken along Lancaster Ave. and Baltimore Ave.) are still in service.

The only downside - getting stuck while biking!

yo i am sooo philly man.i really am into trolley tracks and cars. i live in sw philly not for from the old brill car plant.you should visit 84th street near pepper middle school there is a patch of land where time has stood still for the old trolley tracks.they were part of the old 37 trolley line.when they "redeveloped the area"they basically left them in tact.its almost ghost like as if that area is waiting for the 37 to return.if you have more track pics email them to me at bryantmoore1974@yahoo.com

Fred M Pohl: I like the "special Work" already
