One of the cheapest dives in Center City, or all of Philly for that matter, that actually sells good beer. McGlinchey's was one of the first bars to apply for a variance from the recently instated city-wide smoking ban. Almost everywhere else you can drink and eat smoke-free, yet the cloud still hangs inside the Glinch. Come for the hipsters showing off their track bikes, stay for the 75 cent hot dogs!

ha! my girlfriend grew up on long island and feels the same way. she says she's too far from salt water (90 mins!)

I like to think it is obvious via my hometown (Sarnia) photographs on Citynoise that I'm a lake and river lover. Ocean's are great, they're just not my cup of tea. It's all about the freshwater!

ah, well we have two rivers, the delaware and the schuylkill. unfortunately I wouldn't categorize the water quality as "fresh" :/
