That's not really the beach. That's the cove :) You can see La Jolla Shores in the distance of the third picture, but noone calls the La Jolla beach the beach.

well i have no idea about that part of ca. but the sign said lajolla beach and there were many people walking about it and i assumed it was lajolla. i took pic's of the seals and the bathing area where people were swimming.

joey: thanks jack. i do applaud your efforts.

I have visited La Jolla Cove each year since
1983. What is the history behind those two abandoned
houses near the La Jolla Cove Motel? They have
been in the same dillapidated condition for over
25 years and the property has got to be worth
over 10 million. Any answers?

Dennis: 17th Nov 2008 - 01:56 GMT

We have been wondering about these houses since squatters were living in them in 1972. We were in La Jolla last week and my wife heard the following story:
These buildings were originally life guard living quarters. When they moved out one of the lifeguards bought the buildings intending to tear them down and rebuild on the property but for some reason the city wouldn't allow it. The buildings have to fall down on their own before he can build. This doesn't sound reasonable but yhe what we were told.
