Telectroscope Fun

Made my way down to the Telectroscope in Brooklyn the other day to see what its all about. The cam it self wasn't too great but it was still neat. People wrote funny messages to each other and spent most of the time trying to communicate with hand gestures.

Their message said "Thanks for Depeche Mode". Mine was "God Save The Queen" :)

Their website stated: An extraordinary optical device called a Telectroscope has been installed at both ends which miraculously allows people to see right through the Earth from London to New York and vice versa.

www.tiscali.co.uk/telectroscope/ - unfortunately it's sponsored by tiscali, bah!

Adam: Whats wrong with tiscali?

Jamie: 4th Jun 2008 - 11:17 GMT

You mean apart from them consistently scamming money from a gullible British public by over-billing them for services they can't and don't provide?

Adam: 5th Jun 2008 - 14:46 GMT

Wouldn't know ;)

Sounds like you were a victim of their scamming huh?

Jamie: 5th Jun 2008 - 14:49 GMT

To be fair, they're no more dishonest than any other global ISP operating within the UK. They take advantage of our governments overwhelming cluelessness to make massive profits by essentially breaking the laws of trading standards.
