The Wealth and the Poverty.

- jack - Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 : goo

Scrooge was asked to donate and give to the poor and he replied with, "are there no prisons, are there no workhouses,"

and so with all the opulence surrounding these homeless people is there no refuge for them

image 27419

or rather do they prefer the streets and wait for a handout,

image 27420

is there an abundance of food for them elsewhere and they roam back to the streets like evening flies to a light ready to be devoured by a predator,

a women passerby and the waif of the harbour, could their roles be reversed or does the passerby have the mind and will and job not to end up here, can't we give them a refuge, a job, a home, can't we place loving people out there to talk to them, to give them direction, can't we, or cannot we, we can't, we do, but they don't accept, they want to be left alone, life is not to them as it is to us, why? why did i photograph them? i guess i'm disappointed in my thoughts about them, it's like the picture of dorian grey, as i continue to gaze at my picture i see the sins and degradation of myself, the want, the thirst, desires, and i feel innocent, it is only my picture that is evil.
