A Streetcar (-filled City) Named Lisboa
Browsing articles by Colavitosghost - [previous] :: [next]One of Lisbon's most enchanting aspects (and it has many!) are its lovely streetcars, which have been rattling through it's windy hills since the 19th century. The originals--imported from the US, and called, appropriately, "americanos"--are now protected in Lisbon's Public Transport Museum; however, those still in use retain a very distinctive old-world charm. Here are a few pictures of these wonderful machines:
