I was taking a short cut through Back Piccadilly and was upset to discover this.

Natalie Waterworth (Brophy): 19th May 2008 - 11:10 GMT

Absolutely disgusting !!!! they are washing our heritage down the drain with all the brickdust !!!

Nick: 6th Jun 2008 - 17:32 GMT

I think it's great because I know what's being built there
Sorry to see the arches go but I think it's worth it

tangerine: so, what is being built there?

Natalie Waterworth (Brophy): 15th Jul 2008 - 12:22 GMT

probably, pubs, clubs and bars and cheaply constructed housing sold at extortionate prices !!!

Bryski B: 14th Dec 2008 - 18:49 GMT

I used to live in Longsight, now live in L.A. I am truly saddened to see this.I understand the city has to develop positively but what a shame. Those arches were such a feature of Manchester and alot of important pop culture generated from inside those echoey holes. God Bless Manchester...
