i spoke to the car owner. she didn't know if her car was assembled at the eastmont plant or not. but she did know the previous owner of her house had worked at the plant.

I'm looking for the GM assembly plant in Oakland CA that might have assembled my 1956 chevrolet. Can you help me out?

Chevy Guy: 27th Apr 2009 - 16:31 GMT

Chevrolet Motor Division had an assembly plant on 73th Ave from the 1920's to 1963. The plant was then closed and relocated to Fremont, CA and became a BOP Plant in the fall of 1963. The old Chevrolet plant was replaced by the Eastmont Mall in the following years. I started work at the 73th Ave plant in December 1962
