HI,

My Friend and i are coming to visit Philadelphia soon and we wnated to visit some of the locations from the Rocky films, which include his house etc in the Kensington Area, i believe Tuscum Street, East Gurney street round that way. Coming from England its hard to find out whether or not it will be safe to see these places or is it wise to avoid going there particulary with a foreign(English) accent?

If I were you I would not go into that area. I grew up Front & Tuscum. Moved away when I got married 34 years ago. My parents moved out about 15 years later. It was bad then, Now it's known as the bad lands.

dan.. i highhhhly suggest you dont go around there.. i write graffiti all around there and i live in another part of philly. trust me-EVERYONE will no you aint from around here by the way you look dress talk walk basically everything you do..we will no.. and youll get yourself into a whole lotta trouble that you would really wanna avoid.. so if i was you, i wouldnt go. just lookin out for ya..

if he wants to go to kensington maybe you should go to kensington or north philly but if ya do make sure your out before dark hahahahahahahahaha......

first off it says "Reach" and "snack". and norristown isnt the slightest bit as dangerous as the kensington part of philly.. dont get it twisted or confused..more murders in kensington in one year than norristown has had in 10..

kensington is getting better.. and it will just get better in the future.. don't be afraid to go around there. there are some people selling durg there, but they don't bother you. hope the they will get help and move on with their life with help. cops are there all the time too. so it is safe. business open until 4 am and weekends to 6am
