Browsing articles by EvilGentleman - [previous] :: [next]Located at the corner of Provost and 11th Avenue in the borough of Lachine is this Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise, with its original signage still intact. Most of them have the modernised KFC (PFK in Quebec) signage.
The bucket sign is getting harder and harder to find these days, as well. This one may be rusty, but at least it still stands. maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=45.442195,-73.6743&spn=0.001848,0.003616&t=k&z=18 This article has been viewed 2775 times in the last 23 months serlingrod: 1st Mar 2008 - 23:45 GMT
EvilGentleman - I just so happened to snap this one on Avenue Papineau in the Plateau. I love the old sign though...it's like the ones you'll find in small-town U.S.A. that still say "Kentucky Fried Chicken". My uncle worked at one in the 80's and I still have his hat that he gave me. EvilGentleman: 1st Mar 2008 - 23:51 GMTLOL, small world, isn't it? I should replay the videos my wife shot as we passed through Philly, see if I can find a KFC in there that I can capture and post, hehe. jack: 2nd Mar 2008 - 15:05 GMTi don't think i've ever seen a bucket, they would steel it in brooklyn and use it to wash their cars in. jack: 2nd Mar 2008 - 15:12 GMTholy shit!!!!i just thought of a great idea, make a giant bucket that is collapsible, and use it to wash cars in. i could use some financial backing on this and we can use it to advertise different products, this folks is a million dollar idea, anyone interested, of course we would have to donate some cash to our favorite playpen, 'citynoise' it was here that i became inspired and this is probably better than flicker anyway, ooops, did i say 'flicker' sorry boys my mind is off today. EvilGentleman: 3rd Mar 2008 - 17:15 GMTjack, I'm not 100% what it is you were drinking when you made those comments, but you really should share some with me! anonymous: 3rd Mar 2008 - 17:19 GMTAs someone who has enjoyed the tangential nature of Jack's comments for quite some time, I can't help but wonder if it is not so much what he has been drinking as much as it is what he has been smoking ;-) EvilGentleman: 3rd Mar 2008 - 17:28 GMTHmmmm, now that I think about it, I believe that a KFC sign bucket would make a really cool hot tub.
