Peter: yay! nice shots! ode to a kebabby!

hasslehoff: 7th Mar 2005 - 15:04 GMT

you should totally post your "Ode to a Kebab" Do you still have that?

Kebabs, as we all know, are the staple of any well balanced diet. The humble Doner Kebab, with it's hot chilli sauce beautifully offsetting the subtle flavour of the lamb. Of course, there's salad in there for the ladies too.

As i chew upon your meat
So flavoursome and juicy
The chili sauce upon my feet
Resembles Gary Busey

Peter: also: those almost look like quadcam pictures

hasslehoff: yes they do. those were the days huh

Gary Busey: hey! did someone say kebabs?

Peter: 7th Mar 2005 - 15:59 GMT

i have a favorite quad shot you sent me that looks like 70s porno, man! hahahaha.

hasslehoff: 7th Mar 2005 - 16:10 GMT

Haaa, i remember that. That seems like a lifetime ago. I've long since lost that camera. That was one of the few times i ever used that thing. It was way quirky.

Peter: 7th Mar 2005 - 17:06 GMT

i love that that menu says "thank you for your custom". heh.

hasslehoff: 8th Mar 2005 - 09:00 GMT

also: Peter, i would totally love you forever if you scanned that quad shot i mailed you way back when. I'd love to see that sh*t again.

Peter: 8th Mar 2005 - 16:59 GMT

i must find it, but i will definitely do it! when i get home today ill dig around throug hthe old lomo prints and get it digitized... yay!

hulmerist: 9th Mar 2005 - 14:51 GMT

I was in a kebab house down our way - deepest south eastest London - and overheard a conversation between the kebabist and a punter.

Kebabist: What would you like
Punter: Doner kebab
Kebabist: Large or small?
Punter: What's the difference?

I just saw this, it's brilliant. Damn, now I'm hungry. I like menus and also the stuff they put up on the walls, often with promiscuous use of apostrophes. I always think - if in doubt leave it out, and that way it will just die out, but it seems there is an opposite impulse at work in cafes and fruit and veg stalls. I like the photos too, they're dreamy

hasslehoff: 25th Apr 2005 - 09:59 GMT

don't get me started on punctuation elaine. the age old "Eats shoots and leaves" debate...

elaine: 25th Apr 2005 - 10:31 GMT

ha ha, I like a bit of pedantry! I had a whole bus held up in Norfolk the otherday while the driver had me up for saying I was giong to walk backwards when I meant back - admirable!
