Peter: 17th Feb 2008 - 22:50 GMTjack, i think many bushwick residents would agree that the pigs are a big problem around here... anon (206-248-159-228.dsl.teksavvy.com): 18th Feb 2008 - 22:13 GMTWow! that street is filthy! The amount of trash on the streets seems to be one of the biggest differences I've seen between Canadian and American cities. Even in my neighbourhood in Montreal, which is a forgotten industrial wasteland, the streets are kept quite tidy where even in fairly nice inner city neighbourhoods in American cities, the streets are often completely strewn with garbage. Peter: 14th Mar 2008 - 13:46 GMTsuydam between wilson and knickerbocker... you know, just in case you didnt see the street name and number stenciled on the first garbage can, nor it being reiterated in the text under said photo... anon (ppp-70-248-117-38.dsl.rcsntx.swbell.net): 6th May 2008 - 16:20 GMTI was born in 1933 at 151 Central Ave. between Willoughby and Suydam. It was mostly a Sicilian neighborhood. It was considered a slum then, but NEVER was it filthy like shown in the pictures above! People swept their sidewalks and tried their best to make the most of what they had. We were all poor but we had our pride and didn't live like pigs! I loved it there but also aspired to live better one day. I took the "royal road of education" to become a Physician and now live in a VERY clean Texas city.
