The Faces of Southwest Portland
[previous] :: [next]I spent this past week in Portland for a community development conference, and spent plenty of time exploring the many interesting parts of the city. PDX is split up into quadrants named for their geographic proximity to the Willamette River, dividing the city between west and east, and Burnside Street, which seperates north and south. Southwest is the city center - think office towers and hotels. While most of the more happening residential areas are on the east side of the Willamette, the Southwest is the best place in town to do some good people-watching.
