Honeybird Bridge and Ruins
Browsing articles by GuyMcLaren - [previous] :: [next]Honeybird is a farming community between Hectorspruit and Barberton, near Lowes Creek in Mpumalanga. Not much happens here. The population is probably no bigger than 500 people. The area consists mainly of small holdings of approximately 10 - 15 hectares. Not much happens in the area. I enjoy visiting Andries when in need of some quiet. The lodest noise in the area is the call of the whip poor will. The occassional car moving in the area. I sit and imagine what it must have been like when this was not just a 40 minute journey from Nelspruit. By horse it would have taken 2 days.
