We All Enjoy the Colors of Autumn Leaves
Browsing articles by Barbarachristensen - [previous] :: [next]We all love the colors of the leaves at this time of year. I was thinking that this year is actually one of the prettiest I can remember over the last decade. The weather this week is what I like to call "Fall Perfect". Chilly a bit in the morning and in the 70's by afternoon. There is nothing like a crisp morning with vibrant leaves. Dew drops on the leaves sparkle as the sun rises. As the days get cooler and frost is in the air, and the trees and shrubs put on an autumn show in all shades of red, yellow, purple, and brown it means a lot more to me than just an increase in tourism in the months to come. It means that it is time to reflect on the last year. Autumn is the time to put the past to rest an to prepare yourself for the long winter months. And in Utah that winter can be longer some years than we like it to be. Although I know last year the ski resorts loved it -- so it is a cycle that we need. Just like with life. So come and enjoy the leaves around your neck of the woods and take some time for reflection and contemplate the new year approaching.
