Robert: Cool shots, Peter!

THE PUBLIC ANIMALS JOEY TPA: 30th Oct 2007 - 20:27 GMT

Check my "Cyclones" out....I used to ride this thing endlessly. I miss and love the old "Coney". Those were the days....me and my baby, Susan Russo from Bay 25th. *Sigh*

YoYo: 4th May 2008 - 05:53 GMT

I can't forget the loud rat a tat tat sounds coming from the cyclone. I was a scardey cat. I only got on it one time (in the last car - I thought I was going to die). All my friends loved the cyclone so I would just wait outside until they finished getting on the ride.

my grandpa used to run this bad boy years ago

Went to Coney this weekend. Cyclone is now $8 a ride. I almost had a heart attack. Rode it once but that might be it for me now. Last year it was $5!

jack: 20th Jun 2008 - 02:14 GMT

and i thought 25 cents was too much in 1956, but i got to ride it 7 times in a row once, had $2 so i got a slice of watermelon and an ice cream afterwards, i worked at a concession in 1958.

I never got to see Coney Island, and now it's shutting down forever. I feel like I've been robbed of the chance to see one of America's true icons.

Thomas Hogencamp: 23rd Jul 2009 - 16:20 GMT

I never went to Coney Island before, but I heard it's a fun place to go to. The thing I want to look at is the "Cyclone". I heard it is the scariest ride in the park. Sounds fun!
