i was hitting balls at that range last summer, the parachute jump, and next to it was a carousel back in the old day's, from the parachute looking down the boardwalk you can see some trees, that was where the old half moon hotel was located, a lot of crazy things went on in that joint, around the corner were the belly dancers and if you went into the back of the tent with them, well, ooh la la, fun times for a 13 year old. also the steeplechase pier, good fishing then but now the waters are polluted, i wouldn't eat too much of that fish, got cut with a knife when a fisherman landed a spider crab on the pier and we took turns throwing our knives at it, it was a scary creature, the ugliest crabs you ever did see, the next day we were thrown off the bus in sheepshead bay because our fish had rotted in the hot sun.

you're welcome jack, & thanks for the words.

most of the guys on the dock didn't seem that intent on fishing, none of them had caught anything, but they really looked like they were enjoying themselves. cool people.

Washington Baths, Tilyou's Steeplechase Park [the fan blowing up the skirts , the giant slide, the spinning circle, the round ticket with George's face on it] Wonder Wheel's sliding car, Nathan's fried shrimps in paper cones, fireworks on Tuesday nights, steam bathsa, mah jong, beach vendors lugging containers of Good Humors packed in dry ice, other beach vendors selling super koola, knishes, sunny dew, raw oysters on the boardwalk, Lundy's nearby in Sheepshead Bay and Tappan's if Lundy's was too crowded, Dubrows up Kighs Highway, [one driving route to Coney--Kings Highway to Ocean Pkwy], all hot dogs were good then--not just Nathan's

Tim in the Streets

Well, I've only just discovered this site. This is one of my first posts..... When I first came to Fredericton (almost two years ago), the main source of litter I noticed was the mysterious Tim Hortons cup. They were/are ubiquitous....
