Chris: 11th Dec 2007 - 17:22 GMTWashington Baths, Tilyou's Steeplechase Park [the fan blowing up the skirts , the giant slide, the spinning circle, the round ticket with George's face on it] Wonder Wheel's sliding car, Nathan's fried shrimps in paper cones, fireworks on Tuesday nights, steam bathsa, mah jong, beach vendors lugging containers of Good Humors packed in dry ice, other beach vendors selling super koola, knishes, sunny dew, raw oysters on the boardwalk, Lundy's nearby in Sheepshead Bay and Tappan's if Lundy's was too crowded, Dubrows up Kighs Highway, [one driving route to Coney--Kings Highway to Ocean Pkwy], all hot dogs were good then--not just Nathan's jack: 11th Dec 2007 - 19:04 GMTgood grief, you must come from my neighborhood, and be about 65 now. the kingsway theatre is gone, so is everything else that was great about the area. i lived on highlawn avenue and west 4th where did you live and get the movie, the little fugitive.
