Jess: 24th Dec 2007 - 01:15 GMTHey, I used to work at Soho Zat back in 1983. I loved it. They only hired punks. It was the coolest place to work - vintage comic books, porn, various sundries (all legal...), vintage clothes... We had so much fun doing the front window with skulls and chains and variousness. Real Graffiti is Real Counterculture, Scrap Yard and most of you are MTV Pop Culture trust fund kids. Real writers get creative in what they do, they were born and live in situations where they can't afford to buy paint. But that won't stop them. Shut off your MTV and cookie cutter hip hop bullshit. Kill your idols, don't support big business and the media controlled crap they feed us. Real Graffiti is below the line, and should stay that way. Make the the matrix and take the blue pill, open your eyes and see the world for what it is, and stop being little rich boy punks. That's not what counterculture is about, it's not what graf is about... AcEs BhG: 18th Aug 2008 - 17:10 GMTyeoo the scrap yards prices aren't that jacked up the paint is but every marker I get from their is good priced I don't remember the exact price but I'm goin their now so peacee kidss CAPITAL_BEE: 3rd Sep 2008 - 13:43 GMTI used to by t-shirts and other graff stuff from there stii have my top-2bottom stuff from there GREAT-STORE

Luke1972: 10th Mar 2009 - 00:29 GMTAdded to the ever growing list of places to visit when I get to NYC. Thanks for the info Peter: 10th Mar 2009 - 01:24 GMTto be fair, also check out alphabetanyc.com scrapyard is the original, but alphabeta is official, so any writers passing through medina best not sleep, even if you *do* have to take the g train there... Alphabetashop@gmail.com oh, and for the record: the one and only scrapyard so all yall heads, save up and spend money. sure, you can get it cheaper online, but when you shop at independent graffiti shops you get instant gratification and youre paying your tithe to support the life in the place where it was birthed and to help support two internationally renowned graf stores.
