chiamattt: note the motherfucking machine guns.

colavitos ghost: 20th Aug 2007 - 05:09 GMT

you mean the TOTALLY NECESSARY machine guns???

terrorism dude; terrorism...

EvilGentleman: 20th Aug 2007 - 06:15 GMT

I dunno how terrorism is supposed to be stopped by more guns. If the terrorists are deterred by machine guns on USCG boats, then they are pretty lame terrorists. Fact is, America and Canada are open societies, and are therefore incapable of stopping determined terrorists. Best way to stop terrorists is to live normal lives, without letting the bastards change our lives. And then if the sonsabitches actually do something, you send the Marines in to give them a good sound ass-whuppin'.

If America is now in constant fear of terrorists, then maybe America has lost the war on terror. After all, the objective of a terrorists is to bring fear to the enemy. Are you guys just gonna roll over and let these sad fucks put fear in your hearts until you have to give up your freedom for the sake of security? HELL, NO! America is tougher than that. C'mon guys, show those balls the world knows you have.

Think about it. Imagine the terrorists as a gang of street thugs. They punched you full in the face and ran away. Now which of the following options is gonna fuck up their heads more?

A - You pull out a gun and run around looking for them after they already escaped to safety, then you barricade your apartment building up, and continually sit by the entrance with a gun, waiting for them to attack again. But some of them live in your building, and are already inside...

B - You grin at them and say, "That the best you losers can do? Whatever. I'm off to enjoy my day. Oh, by the way, whenever I feel like it and get around to it, I'm gonna put a bullet in the back of your worthless skull when you're not looking. Have a nice day, Mister Dead Meat."

Personally, I prefer option B.

Maybe America should be asking Britain for advice, they took a hell of a lot more from the IRA, and are used to this shit, yet still manage to have a free society that functions well, without as much paranoia. But then again, the Brits are the people that treated the Blitz as a mere inconvenience. I dunno if America is that tough. I really hope you guys can prove me wrong, I'll be rooting for you.

aer : awesome shots, hope you're enjoying the city.

joey: aer: we had a wonderful visit.

Evil Gentlman, I'd stop you at using Great Britain as an example of a care free society without ridiculous government controls infringing on public freedoms. They're fast becoming the Airstrip One of legend in terms of the rapid increase in public and private surveillance by the government and law enforcement.

and those coast guard boats don't look fast, but they ARE! i've seen them chase PWC users on the delaware river out here in PA
