very intersting find. 1656. that's practially ancient by american standards. i imagine there's not much that's that old in NYC.

I was there on 9/20/08. I was visiting my home town with my son for the first time and wanted to show him this spot [along with E Manual on 66th & Montifore in Queens where the Rebbi is burried]. To my surprise the gates were closed and without any hours posted. Too bad. Would have loved to have gotten a closer look see.

i'm trying to find out which graveyard was featured in a chase scene in the 1948 film Naked City.
i'm pretty sure it took place in the Lower East Side but haven't been able to find online any pictures of monuments resembling what i saw in the film
