once upon a mystical time in a mystical place little creatures scurried to and forth, back and around again, in the deep woods of califon. mrs. yawron, a mother of twelve, lived there in her little cottage. nearby there was a spring where she washed all her chidren's clothes, which by the way she sewed all by herself. her husband of twelve years, heckelberry which was the shortened name of heck, was a hunter and always brought home the wild game that foraged in the woods. they raised chicken and buffalo, corn and flowers. her flowers were a wonderous sight to behold, truly, orange tigerlillies surrounded by pompous weeds. but time passed all too swiftly, her children grew up and became doctors, dentists, lawyers and toll collectors. eventually the old cottage fell apart from time as did the yawron's and for many years their property lay well hidden from public eye's until a mini-mall was being built and lo and behold they found the remains of the cottage, the fireplace and the old washing tub. the tigerlillies were still blooming as they did every year but the weeds died away. so here are the pictures.
