Great pictures. I was there in /96 doing some research on my family tree this property belonged to my ancestors and I have the history going back to the early 1600's so I was very pleased to find this site with such beautiful pics, I have some identical. I loved the area around the old castle. Too bad the manor house had to be torn down, I would have loved to have stayed in it (if the plans the owner had made to make it a hotel had matured.) I hope you got in to see the lovely church the Archdales built for the family and surrounding area it's not too far from the complex. They opened it for me to get some photos when they found out I was kin.

I love going to Castle Archdale!
The campsite is very nice.
I would defonitly recommend going there.
My family likes to go there in our caravans and tents whatever the weather.
We would bring our boat and the whole family would go out fishing on it.
We would all have barbeques together.
