It purports itself to be a sort of conceptual piece, asking for people to write their thoughts on it... Is it just a ploy from a sly marketeer? History and real estate market aside, just what is it that makes Bushwick the next hot neighborhood that it is being called? PS: if you are the person responsible for these posters, let us know what you were thinking... Luis Acevedo: 4th Aug 2007 - 00:48 GMT In my opinion what makes this neighborhood so hot is that people are moving to what they consider to be cheaper rents than in soho or midtown. The L train gets you to manhattan in 20 minutes. The majority of my new neighbors don't have kids and are really intrepid. My family business has been in bushwick since the 80's and there has been such a transformation. The area is cleaning up and becoming safer. And it definitely has gotten much better. It truly is the "NEXT HOT NEIGHBORHOOD." I myself would like to move there someday.
