The Imminent Demise of Mr. Brownstone

- EvilGentleman - Monday, March 5th, 2007 : goo

This old home on Place Lucy, just west of Decarie in the Cote Des Neiges area has seen better days, and is now condemned, just waiting for nature to take its course and return its bricks to good old Mother Earth.

Police danger tape (and an unplowed driveway) keeps pedestrians from venturing into the zone of the impending collapse. The window behind the bulge has already fallen out of its frame.

It is hard to see due to the tree, but the wall is clearly bulging outwards (about 12 to 16 inches). The sign reads "Mur dangereux", which means "Dangerous wall" in English. I pass by this way once in a while, so I will take more pictures once the wall collapses.

those bricks will be bought by a builder and reused for a new home. old bricks are very expensive.
