This wouldn't be the cable added in recent years throughout the bloor line that enables communication throughout the system, would it? Not possible with normal radios of course, being underground and all. (Do cell phones work in the system?) I'm thinking that this is the cable responsible for carrying the TTC's three radio systems and maybe even also responsible for train speed control! I hope this is not the case. What about Steve Monroe. He might be able to answer one or both quandries. Just asking. Great Photo though. Michelle: 4th Mar 2007 - 15:31 GMT@curious = I think that it is an optical illusion. The cable is behind the icicle, not actually supporting it! Thankfully. Evenso, I think it is scary that the subway tunnel has an icicle - what's this telling us about the concrete stability?
